It's time to build responsible autonomous agents.
A 6-day virtual hackathon kicking off from Wednesday 6th September. Participants build an exciting MVP for autonomous agents or apps to compete for cash prizes and other incentives provided by us and our partners.
Partners include Arweave, FirstBatch, Warp Contracts, Community Labs and Stability AI.
Submissions will be judged by leading VCs from the likes of Faction VC (Lightspeed Crypto), CMT Digital, Hansa, NGC Ventures and more.
As autonomous agents become increasingly sophisticated, what it means to be human on the web is fundamentally changing. We are on the verge of information and ultimately intelligence that is too cheap to meter.
This creates an unprecedented need for people to account for where that information comes from, how their creations are able to be used by others and how they interact with non-human entities.
It also creates a never-before-seen opportunity to unleash humanity’s creative potential. The generative AI boom will augment the possibilities of any creative mind to put their work out into the world and see it succeed. These creators of the future deserve to be rewarded for this, have provable attestations that it is their work and have that work stored in perpetuity for future generations to look back on in posterity.
Where the first generation of web3 projects primarily sought to create open, interoperable and composable markets in finance, we believe that this LLM-inspired internet-wide paradigm shift will amplify the importance of decentralised information protocols. Enter Arweave.
We see Arweave as being the base layer for these autonomous information streams of the future because of its unique offering of all of the following:
Model Transparency. All weights and specs for open-source AI models visible and completely auditable on-chain.
Agent Explainability. A persistent ledger of data that can map outputs to the training inputs that were used to generate them will assist in solving the model explainability problem.
**Immutability. ** Immutable, persistent storage of model weights and training data on-chain mitigates severe risks including prompt injection and other forms of model tampering.
**Safe & non-invasive access to training data. ** Arweave’s permanent, global data lake will act as the greatest repository of organically generated data in human existence. The composability this allows makes it an unmatched training ground for the development of aligned agents and apps.
Information provenance & proof-of-humanity. Proof-of-humanity protocols built on top of Arweave’s immutable ledger of information will act as the great differentiator between human intelligence and machine intelligence.
Projects will be judged on the following criteria:
Novelty: How creative is this project? How challenging would it be to replicate?
Virality: Does this project have the potential to onboard millions of users?
Practicality: Is the end product useable? Does it solve a real problem?
